Dr. Hamid Taheri is a Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine at George Washington University. He joins Inova Medical Group with more than 20 years of clinical experience. He has a special interest in management of complex coronary and peripheral vascular interventions. He is also a member of the Structural Heart Team at Inova.
Dr. Taheri serves in multiple leadership committees at Inova Fairfax Hospital including the Chairman of the Invasive Cardiology Committee and a member of the Vascular Operation Committee. He is the Medical Director of the Cardiology Ambulatory Research Department and the Principal Investigator for multiple clinical trials. His interest is in novel pharmacological and device therapy for the treatment of Cardiovascular Disease.
He has been consistently recognized among the Top Doctors by the Washingtonian Magazine and the Northern Virginia Magazine since 2005. Dr. Taheri resides in Oakton, VA with his wife and 2 daughters.
